Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP/BBID) training is required by MIOSHA OH Part 554 to protect workers whose jobs could expose them to blood or infectious bodily fluids during first aid, medical care, janitorial, maintenance, lab work, and other job tasks.
AIDS, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and other infectious diseases can be transmitted in blood and Other Potentially Infectious Materials (OPIM). BBP/BBID training is designed to help workers prevent occupational exposure and disease transmission and informs affected workers and supervisors about MIOSHA regulations and safety requirements. These may include a written Exposure Control Plan (ECP), exposure determination, universal precautions, engineering controls, work practices, PPE & clothing, housekeeping, and more.
ASHA, Inc goes 1 step beyond. We customize training to include our clients' written Exposure Control Plan (ECP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). If consulting and program writing is important for our clients, we are happy to do that too. We serve nearly ALL of our valued clients' workplace safety needs.
